Welcome to Bellewood Acres!
A family owned farm and home to a herd of champion LaMancha dairy goats in beautiful Orange County, in central Virginia. We are committed to providing excellent care for our animals, being responsible stewards of the environment, producing a quality product consumers enjoy and enriching the lives of local children through the Orange County 4-H.
A special thank you goes out to Aspen Hill's Farm. Without the initial invaluable information and patience of Barbara and Joy Broaddus we would not have blossomed into the successful farm we are today. Their bloodline of LaMancha dairy goats continues to produce quality animals.
Another group that helped to shape Bellewood Acres is the Orange County, Va 4-H Goat Club. Although my children have aged out of 4-H, I continue as leader of the 4-H Goat Club. I enjoy watching the children grow into young adults and it brings me great pleasure to teach our members about goats.
Hershey Kiss was born on Araby Farm, NJ then purchased by Aspen Hill's Farm, VA. she came to our farm in 2002 and quickly stole our hearts and became our herd queen. Her chocolate coat reminds you of sweet morsels of milk chocolate. Even though we lost her in 2009 at the age of 13, we keep her in fond remembrance as the mascot of Bellewood Acres and have immortalized her on our farm logo. They don't live to be as old as Hershey Kiss without a lot of love and care.
